Bars in Brindleyplace, right on the canal

Among the bars in Brindley Place, ours is the one on the water at The Waters Edge, two minutes off Broad Street and a short walk along the towpath from Gas Street Basin. That makes it an easy first stop before a show at the Utilita Arena, Symphony Hall or the ICC, and a natural last stop after dinner, with seats, table service and conversation you can actually hear.

Food and cocktails in Birmingham

A Lychee Margarita served with dim sum at Lulu Wild, Birmingham
Cocktails and dim sum, made for each other.

This is still a Chinese restaurant at heart, and the drinks are built to sit beside the food. Order a round of dumplings with your Lychee Martini, share small plates over a few cocktails, or make an evening of it with dinner first. On Friday to Sunday afternoons the bottomless brunch brings 90 minutes of free-flowing Pornstar Martinis, Lychee Martinis and Prosecco with two courses from the kitchen. See the food menu for what to pair.

A late-night bar in the city centre

We pour until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays and until 11pm Sunday to Thursday, so there is no need to move on to find a late drink. Walk in for a cocktail at the bar, or book a table if you are coming as a group on a weekend night. For a quieter one, a midweek evening at the bar is about as relaxed as cocktails in the city centre get.
